Full-time consultants |
As of February 2012, we are hiring project managers and business analysts to be located in our Boston office. Candidates have to have exceptional mathematical skills. |
In-country project |
Canback Dangel assesses market opportunities in countries around the world. We do this mainly based on statistical analysis performed in Boston. However, statistics do not tell the whole story. We augment our findings with a local, in-country, understanding of the market based on traditional management consulting methods. For this reason, we require local consulting assistance to provide on-the-ground perspectives in countries where we do not have a base. These positions are on a project-by-project basis. For the right person, who wants to complement an existing independent consultant career, this can be a welcome addition to the portfolio of projects. Currently (February 2012), we are looking for project consultants in:
We have a strong preference for people with consumer goods experience (consulting or industry background). |

Hourly researchers |
We typically need help with specific research tasks in countries where we are active. These tasks may be include finding government statistics, visiting different types of retail outlets to compare product shelving priorities, conducting informal interviews of consumers, or taking photos of local stores/products/consumers. We often need help with translations as well. For these tasks, we provide clear instruction and training on what needs to be done. The work is compensated based on an agreed hourly fee. In February 2012, we are looking for researchers in:

Part-time |
At Canback Dangel, we are constantly striving for greater sophistication and precision in our quantitative analysis. As such, we maintain links with experts who can help to define/refine new methodologies on a stand-by basis. We would benefit from having one or two additional statistics experts. Experience with multivariate analysis of ordinal data and/or pooled time series, cross-sectional analysis is a plus as well as a willingness to build and clean moderately large data sets. In addition, we would welcome a person who would enjoy codifying our statistical methods into procedures for our less statistically-initiated professionals. Our needs for expert advice are unpredictable. It is therefore important that a candidate is available on fairly short notice. |
