We’re featured in the National Geographic November 2013 article “The War for Nigeria.” The article explores the regional tensions within Nigerian society and uses C-GIDD data to show standard of living differences in the country. In addition, we can be found on NatGeo’s site.
This is the second time in the past two years our Nigerian data has been used by major media outlets. In 2012, the BBC used our data to explain regional poverty.
As it happens, Canback & Company is the only organization in the world that estimates state and city GDP and income for Nigeria. We base it on Nigerian HIES and poverty surveys, the UN’s analysis of the delta states, and many other sources.
